On Saturday morning we went to the park to play for a bit....the kids brought their bikes and Graham found this nice hill to ride down :)
Of course that meant Ellie had to try it too! As I mentioned to her (though she refused to believe it) she wasn't quite ready for this kind of ride, so luckily Kenny noticed too and was there to catch her as she came flying down :)
There was also some playing in the sand....
Which then turned into playing in the sand AND water....that was largely Kenny's idea (he's much more fun than I am!
Sunday morning was just as beautiful, so to get the kids out of the house for a bit we went for a walk/bike ride.....
Ellie had a little trouble following directions so we had a little drama mid-ride where she had to walk for a bit, but once given a second chance she did ok. We also had Sammie with us, so it was quite an adventure!
When we got back to the house we made a run out to Jerry's to get a hedge trimmer - Kenny spent some time putting it to work in the backyard when we got home. He also did a lot of trimming and clean-up along the back fence.
I spent some time cleaning up the "homework" desk inside. Cleaned up a lot of papers and put some of the arts/crafts supplies where they are more easily accessed by the kids. There is always a lot of creating going on when Faith comes to visit.
Faith enjoyed a night out with her friends at the Haunted Corn Maze at Lone Pine Farms and she and Graham also spent a lot of time playing MineCraft together (though on separate devices) It was a great balance of family time, chore time, and relaxing time.
